Our Story.

Women in Medicine NJ began with a simple idea. In March 2023 we planned a small dinner to celebrate International Women’s Day. We invited a few female providers we knew, expecting a small gathering. Instead, the response was immediate. Word spread quickly and soon the dinner grew into a full restaurant of women in medicine coming together to connect, share experiences, and support one another.

The energy in the room was undeniable. Conversations flowed, new friendships formed, and no one wanted the evening to end. As the night wrapped up, the question everyone asked was the same.

When is the next one?

That moment sparked something bigger. What started as one dinner quickly evolved into a growing community. Beyond the speakers and programming, the real power was in the women themselves. Every physician, provider, and leader in the room had a story, insight, or experience worth sharing. Women in Medicine NJ was created to give those voices a platform.

Today our organization hosts events that bring together women across specialties and career stages to connect, learn, and support one another. Through live events, social media, and educational programming, we continue to expand a network dedicated to empowering women across healthcare. And we are just getting started.
